[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1008100] Re: Running XBMC fullscreen with GNOME Shell causes segfault in intel_drv.so

2013-06-12 Thread Serrano Pereira
Will the fix be released for Ubuntu 12.10? I've been having this problem
since a week or two (which is weird, because it used to work just fine).

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1008100] Re: Running XBMC fullscreen with GNOME Shell causes segfault in intel_drv.so

2012-06-18 Thread Jeremy Visser
Thank you for the cross-reference. According to one of the posts in the
article you linked, the following patch from upstream Mesa solves the
problem:

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/commit/?id=dd7220652e65a8a23e7739687f3d6a865b80

I have not had time to test this. If somebody could test the patch
against Precise's version of Mesa, we will be able to determine whether
an SRU is possible.

intel: Fix segfault in glXSwapBuffers with no bound context

Calling glXSwapBuffers with no bound context causes segmentation
fault in function intelDRI2Flush. All the gl calls should be
ignored after setting the current context to null. So the contents
of framebuffer stay unchanged. But the driver should not seg fault.
