[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1042327] Re: X.org segmentation fault

2014-01-06 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Menno van Alz, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is
already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one
would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1042327] Re: X.org segmentation fault

2012-12-05 Thread Menno van Alz
Replaced KDM with LightDM to determine whether these crashes are X fault
or KDM. Seems it X, because today I've encountered a crash again. But
this time I haven't found anything in logs (grepped it for
segmentation fault closed unxpectedly — nothing).

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1042327] Re: X.org segmentation fault

2012-10-18 Thread Menno van Alz
After the latest KDE's update to 4.8.5 the crashes happen more rarely.
And, while the crash logs are stored in /var/log/kdm.log I'm quite unsure if
this is a X.org bug or a KDM bug.

2012-09-05 Thread Menno van Alz
Attaching logfile to this message, this is /var/log/kdm.log. After
today's X.org crash I found there more information (backtrace) that
might be useful.

** Attachment added: kdm.log file from /var/log
