Using fresh dev quantal installation, I am seeing corruption of the
screen making the computer unusable. The terminal gets first set to
correct mode, but later, vertical stripes appear (screenshot will be
attached). When launching lightdm, there are inclined horizontal lines
superimposed over whatever is on the desktop (screenshot attached).
