This bug was fixed in the package mesa - 10.1.0~rc1-1ubuntu1 --- mesa (10.1.0~rc1-1ubuntu1) trusty; urgency=low * First mesa 10.1 release candidate. * Refresh egl-platform-mir.patch and drop upstreamed bits. * Merge more upstream fixes post rc1. * Cherry pick some fixes for GLX fbconfig. I could fix this problem by removing xserver-xorg-video-* except ati/radeon/modesetting. Now I can reproduce the bug by installing xserver-xorg-video-vesa, so I suppose this is caused somehow by incorrect module initialisation. Looking at Xorg.0.log doesn't give me a hint, though.
