I am also being affected, I am running Ubuntu-MATE 15.04  Vivid V,  this
also happened when I was running Ubuntu-MATE 14.04 LTS  and all the UM
15.04  alpha   beta editions..

On August 19 2014 I sent a patch upstream, so that we can use pkexec
instead. My changes were included at some point but I still don't see
them in the latest fglrx release.

The root cause is we have switched from gksu to pkexec in 14.04, so we
