I'm having a similar problem using a DELL Inspiron 3646 with an Intel J2900 CPU. Having the same issue. I had it in 14.01 but when I used the intel driver installer to install graphic drivers it fixed it, A bout 2 weeks 15.04 came out and the issue returned. happens a lot on Facebook and gmail & Youtube in Chrome AND firefox. I've installed freshplayer/pepperflash plugins and HTML5 only video plugins (for youtube) didnt really help. Getting constand Script stopped/ pages unresposive messages and then EVERYTHING locks up. SAme problem here . Mine is a new install. Partitions were wiped first. Around 60% require power switch or alt + sys req = R_E_I_S_U_B. Can barely get anything done. I am facing the freezing behavior for long time. I have seen it in 14.10 and now in 15.04. I always face this once is explore dropbox folder. I was in doubt on 14.10. I formatted my laptop and installed 15.04. It was nice before installing Dropbox. Once I installed dropbox and explored it the same freezing problems... I always need to do force shutdown pushing power button and start again. I am using Dell Inspiron 15. I face this problem only after using dropbox always. Once Open dropbox folder immediately all the desktop folders and files disappear and start freezing. I don't know why. Various Thinkpads (X240, T430s,S440) exhibiting freezing behaviour - nothing showing in logs. System mostly wakens up again after a minute or two.
