Since I updated the linux kernel to version 4.5 RC3, I cannot reproduce the error. So it seems solved with kernel 4.5 RC3. Londé Ngosso, the next step is to fully reverse commit bisect from kernel 4.5-rc2 to 4.5-rc3 in order to identify the last bad commit, followed immediately by the first good one. Once this good commit has been identified, it may be reviewed for backporting. Please note, finding adjacent kernel versions is not fully commit bisecting. After the fix commit (not kernel version) has been identified, then please mark this report Status Confirmed. I updated the bios to A09 sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date A09 12/30/2015 and i still get this error when i unplugged the hdmi cable connected to the TV. System information: Dell Inc. If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it change anything? Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, you don't have to create a new bug report.
