Thanks Matthias. The problem appears to have been sorted out by the developers because a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04 solved the problem for me. Just found a workaround... I have the same situation here with a Ubuntu 16.04 running on a Kaby- Lake CPU. Fullscreen in Google-Chrome or in the editor "Atom" crashes Unity. Cant minimize the fullscreen-window again, cant click anything. A clean install of Ubuntu 16.04 solved the problem.
