[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 2017528] Re: windows don't accept mouse input

2023-05-24 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Your gnome-shell crash on May 3 looks like it might be caused by an
extension:

meta_compositor_get_laters () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmutter-10.so.0
?? () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmutter-10.so.0
g_object_unref () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgobject-2.0.so.0
?? () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgjs.so.0
?? () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgjs.so.0

So deleting the gnomebedt...@ionutbortis.gmail.com extension might also
help.

Hi Daniel,

I found out that since I don´t use wps office the bug has not
manifested so I think it was the root cause. I removed it and use Free
Office now.

I forward this email to their email officesupp...@wps.com

Hi again,

/var/crash$ ls
_opt_kingsoft_wps-office_office6_wpscloudsvr.1000.crash
_opt_kingsoft_wps-office_office6_wpscloudsvr.1000.upload
_opt_kingsoft_wps-office_office6_wpscloudsvr.1000.uploaded

Nothing with Ubuntu but indeed wps may have been launched when the
freeze occured. Let me launch it and see if freezes comes back.

sudo cat /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id

Re: [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 2017528] Re: windows don't accept mouse input

2023-04-25 Thread emmanuel poirier
Hi Daniel,

attached the settings file.

There was 2 extensions:

~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions$ ls
desaturate_all gnomebedt...@ionutbortis.gmail.com

I removed them, we will see if issue comes back.

This morning I got 3 or 4 freezes lasting 30 secs then stopping: they
froze the machine completely and nothing shown in system monitor, nor
in htop as both got frozen too.

Will note the exact times issue occurs next time if any and look into
the logs.

Regards
