Is there anybody who can take care this Any developer who can maintain this, please do. From what I gather, the current developer is Thomas Winischhofer and the link in the sis man page to the sis driver for linux project is broken (has been turned into a link farm): http://www.winischhofer.at/linuxsisvga.shtml for more information and updates I have tried contacting Thomas via email, but it seems he has gone AWOL and I have yet to receive a response. The problem is not solved as the sis driver does not auto-detect and correct this by default As well, this does get rid of the color/snow issue, yet there are still white horizontal lines which show up once in a while (more frequent when watching video). Hi everybody, after using vesa for quite some time I finally had time to try what komputes said. Good news, it worked:) So this seems to be the solution to this bug, just adding sisfb in /etc/modules Thank you very much everybody and especially komputes.
