Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-wacom
I previously installed Kubuntu 9.04 64-bit on a Fujitsu T4215 Tablet PC. This has a wacom serial tablet built in. I expected (or perhaps hoped) that the stylus pen/eraser would work out of the box. No such luck however. After a while, I noticed that the eraser end of the pen is recognised, and acts as a stylus, as well as the eraser button working to transmit clicks. However, the pen end is still non-functional, as are the two buttons near the pen tip. I made some posts here, and Favux has been very helpful in trying to help me through the issue, but the recommended I file something through launchpad http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1136848&highlight=victorhooi I've also now updated to Kubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala), with the same behaviour (eraser end working only). Also, it also seems to sometimes work and sometimes not, although I can't pin this down/reproduce it accurately, so I'm not going to say too much on this. I've attached the latest output from "xinput --list", "lshal" and my xorg.0.log file. The command "xsetwacom list" returns nothing. ** Affects: wacom-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Fujitsu T4215 Stylus not working in 9.04/9.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/383181 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to wacom-tools in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
