[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 394952] Re: [GM45] [karmic] X lockup on idle compiz/gnome desktop on X200
Thanks for reporting this and providing the necessary information. I'd like to send this upstream but first could you verify it is still not fixed in the newer version of -intel for karmic available in x-updates? There has been an X200-specific fix included in this version (bug 391720), but I'm uncertain if it fixes this particular bug. https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates/ P.S. several people have reported similar-ish bugs on X200's: 391220 394952 396048 388198 384483 383677 ** Summary changed: - [GM45] [karmic] X lockup on idle compiz/gnome desktop + [GM45] [karmic] X lockup on idle compiz/gnome desktop on X200 -- [GM45] [karmic] X lockup on idle compiz/gnome desktop on X200 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/394952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

OK, will try xserver-xorg-video- intel_2.7.99.901+git20090702.74227141-0ubuntu1 (one heck of a version number there :) It may take a while to find out if the hangs are fixed, since they don't happen that often and are not very reproducible. -- [GM45] [karmic] X lockup on idle compiz/gnome desktop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/394952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 394952] Re: [GM45] [karmic] X lockup on idle compiz/gnome desktop
You should be able to reproduce it very quickly by changing the screensaver timeout to the minimum, adjusting the Put the display to sleep when inactive option in power settings to the minimum and leave it for a minute or two if it helps any. -- [GM45] [karmic] X lockup on idle compiz/gnome desktop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/394952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
