This bug report was filed against an old version of Ubuntu. Can you confirm whether this is still an issue in natty? I reported the bug to nvnews with all the logs included in this report, nvidia-bug-report.log included. Here I'm attaching older Xorg.0.log.old, from ubuntu approved 180.44 version.
