I upgraded to karmic a couple of days ago, since Synaptic announced that it was possible to upgrade to 9.10 My system is unusable because of this bug. 1) What's the actual situation about this bug? 2) Which informations can I provide in order to contribute to the solution? I still have the problem with all the latest updates installed. I had upgraded from jaunty few days back. I have just finished rebooting my system after a full update. My xorg version as reported by dpkg is 1:7.4+3ubuntu5. I have the same bug, xorg is taking 50 percent cpu. Hi, I have just upgrade to Karmic Alpha 5, after running Jaunty for a while and I'm still hitting the same problem. Startup is taking around 10 mins. Once Desktop is showing then another 5 mins to be able to do any kind of work as mouse is un-movable. Please tell me what info I can grab from my system in order to fix this bug. Running under Jaunty was fast, so it's seems to be software related!
