The problem occurs with an HP w25558hc 26ยดยด LCD monitor hooked up on the VGA port of an HP Mini with Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller on Jaunty. The maximum resolution (when using only the external screen) detected by xrandr and the display configuration tool is 1280x1024 Instead of the correct maximum resolution of 1920x1200 The maximum resolution is correctly shown in Xorg.0.log AND ddcprobe AND xresprobe, but not with xrandr and thus cannot be used...
