Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

When kde starts or wine application starts or I try change the
brightness's screen with plasma-applet (but the brightness doesn't
change) my screen show "flashes" (some parts of the screen "move" to
other place of the screen instantly, it's similar to "flashes")

The solution of similar bug #356510 (
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/356510 ) don't
resolve my problem :S

I use Ubuntu 9.04 with kernel 2.6.31-020631rc6-generic (install from
kernel.ubuntu.com -this bug occurs with the official jaunty kernel too). My
video card is Intel 915GM:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML
Express Graphics Controller (rev 03)
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express
Graphics Controller (rev 03)
Xorg version: 1:7.4~5ubuntu18
Wine version: 1.0.1-0ubuntu6

Note: My screen change brightness with hardware button (it's impossible
change it throught software, but the applet of plasma doesn't deactivate
the slid bar of brightness)
