[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 448719] Re: cannot switch users - using dual screens
I'm not the original poster either and this problem is most definitely NOT fixed for me. I'm currently running Natty. I used to have a dual- screen setup, but I've had to sacrifice one of those monitors to set up an old computer as a server and see what I was doing while working with a laptop with a fractured screen. I have restarted for various reasons since the first instance of this bug but it persists. This is especially an issue since my proselytizing for Ubuntu rings a little hollow when my OS can't even switch between users. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/448719 Title: cannot switch users - using dual screens ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 448719] Re: cannot switch users - using dual screens
9.10 upgrade, single monitor, amd64, Ati Radeon 4850. By default, I have blank as a screensaver so when switching user, I get a white blank page. Moving the mouse will display the prompt for the current user. If I switch to another screensaver, the screensaver appears when switching and moving the mouse will just freeze the screensaver (the prompt doesn't appear) but I can still put in my password and hit enter to log back in the current user. -- cannot switch users - using dual screens https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/448719 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Just thought I would add that the screensaver on the first account works fine... just the 'switch users' session seems to crash.
