[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 448719] Re: cannot switch users - using dual screens

2011-01-03 Thread Rainfly_X
I'm not the original poster either and this problem is most definitely
NOT fixed for me. I'm currently running Natty. I used to have a dual-
screen setup, but I've had to sacrifice one of those monitors to set up
an old computer as a server and see what I was doing while working with
a laptop with a fractured screen. I have restarted for various reasons
since the first instance of this bug but it persists.

This is especially an issue since my proselytizing for Ubuntu rings a
little hollow when my OS can't even switch between users.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 448719] Re: cannot switch users - using dual screens

2010-06-04 Thread Bryce Harrington

We're closing this bug since it is has been some time with no response from the
original reporter. However, if the issue still exists please feel free to
reopen with the requested information. Also, if you could, please test against
the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this confirms the bug is one we
may be able to pass upstream for help.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 448719] Re: cannot switch users - using dual screens

2009-11-01 Thread Dan
9.10 upgrade, single monitor, amd64, Ati Radeon 4850.

By default, I have blank as a screensaver so when switching user, I
get a white blank page. Moving the mouse will display the prompt for the
current user. If I switch to another screensaver, the screensaver
appears when switching and moving the mouse will just freeze the
screensaver (the prompt doesn't appear) but I can still put in my
password and hit enter to log back in the current user.

Just thought I would add that the screensaver on the first account works
fine... just the 'switch users' session seems to crash. Here are the
