[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 497179] Re: screen freezes after working for awhile but cursor still moves around
Getting a bit desperate now guys! Is anyone (developer staff or volunteer) looking at the O/S via 'apport-collect'? how does it work? I have looked up sites for re-installing and have found a suggestion to enter command: 'sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh -a' Is this a good option to rectify the fault? By the way - hope you all had a good Christmas. Re: [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 497179] Re: screen freezes after working for awhile but cursor still moves around
Hi Nigel, I have completed your instructions but still have the problem - is there anything else I can do? I have Ubuntu 9.10 upgraded from 9.04 and running dual boot parallel with XP Windows (which is not experiencing the same problem, so not a hardware fault). [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 497179] Re: screen freezes after working for awhile but cursor still moves around
Sorry Terry, I guess I was not clear earlier, the command run should be 'apport-collect 497179'. I supposed to let you know that but I guess missed it. Can you run the correct command so that the required information can be added to this report. I can then set the bug as confirmed so that a developer can work on it. -- screen freezes after working for awhile but cursor still moves around https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/497179 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 497179] Re: screen freezes after working for awhile but cursor still moves around
Hello again Nigel, Have attempted to re-issue the command but would not respond, possibly because it already has been given the command to allow to 'change anything' which I was successful at doing a few days ago. The developer should now be able to access the system to work on it. Thank you Terry for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please run the command 'apport-collect BUGNUMBER' which will attach necessary information for debugging this as an Xorg problem.
