[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 544559] Re: [i945gm] GPU lockup 8c30ddaa (PGTBL_ER: 0x00000013)
Thanks for testing Ubuntu and helping report GPU lockup bugs by using the automated bug reporting tools. Unfortunately, due to a bug in these reporting tools that existed in maverick and prior Ubuntu versions, the error dumps that were collected don't actually include the correct error codes. Because of this, the bugs cannot be diagnosed using this data. On a more positive note, using the fixed tools we were able to make a huge amount of progress on these freeze bugs in natty. In some cases the issues were resolved, in other cases we have a much deeper understanding of what is causing them. For these reasons, this bug report no longer needs to be kept open. Thank you again for participating in the effort to stabilize the Intel video driver for Ubuntu. Hopefully with natty we're getting closer to achieving this goal... ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/544559 Title: [i945gm] GPU lockup 8c30ddaa (PGTBL_ER: 0x0013) ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a bug in xserver-xorg-video-intel. For future reference you might be interested to know that a lot of applications have bug reporting functionality built in to them. This can be accessed via the Report a Problem option in the Help menu for the application with which you are having an issue.
