The fix mentioned improves things greatly, but I do still observe the issue 
even with the fix.

  It seems to happen more when surfing the web. I thought maybe it was an
  issue with flash so I removed it and left it off but when ever I have
  may tabs open in Opera or Firefox the display goes crazy.
