[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 560775] Re: 2nd Screen not properly working on 10.04 [ATI X1200M] (despite working in 9.10)
mhactive, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-ati REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful. Thank you for your understanding. ** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg After updating Ubuntu 9.10 to Ubuntu 10.04 Beta 2 the second screen, namely a 23 Flatscreen, does not display contents properly. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 560775] Re: 2nd Screen not properly working on 10.04 [ATI X1200M] (despite working in 9.10)
It's driver specific. I am still getting a jumbled screen even when booting to command line (no X.Org running). I'm taking a guess that when my update crashed out that X.Org reverted back to a default driver and that is why I had a fixed screen until I reconfigured packages. -- 2nd Screen not properly working on 10.04 [ATI X1200M] (despite working in 9.10) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/560775 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 560775] Re: 2nd Screen not properly working on 10.04 [ATI X1200M] (despite working in 9.10)
As I have undertaken further tests, I'm doubting whether it is a problem of the xserver and the Gnome Configuration, or whether it is primarily a problem of the ATI Driver. Using another computer with a different graphic device doesn't show these problems. Another fact: The problem of the twinkling contours is increasing from left to right on the screen. On the left margin there is nearly no problem. -- 2nd Screen not properly working on 10.04 [ATI X1200M] (despite working in 9.10) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/560775 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
