We're closing this bug since it is has been some time with no response from the 
original reporter.  However, if the issue still exists please feel free to 
reopen with the requested information.  Also, if you could, please test against 
the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this confirms the bug is one we 
may be able to pass upstream for help.

Screen appears to be nonresponsive during boot. No splash or graphics?

Can you also give some history information what has been done before you
encountered this problem. That is,

1) Have you just upgraded your Ubuntu distribution to the new release
when you noticed this problem?

2) Have you tried to boot from installation media (CD/DVD)? Do you see
the same problem when booting from installation media?

3) Can you see the Ubuntu logo (spalsh) during boot or any text? Can you
see the BIOS printout during first seconds when the computer starts? Or
is the screen totally black during whole boot up phase?
