It's just happened to me too. It happens often when I use trasmission and firefox. Ubuntu 10.04 says there is no more space left and it opens up that program that counts the disk space. Well the home folder of mine has few little things, no more than 100 mb but that program says there are 2-3 GB used! I'm not sure if this is exactly the same bug, but when I woke up today there was an 18.2 Gb xsession-errors.old file that wasn't there yesterday. My 30 gb drive was reported as 99% full so a fix was needed right away. Most of the errors were firefox-bin-4258-Gdk-WARNING-*-*-XID-collision-trouble-ahead . I have moved the old file to another drive and all seems to be working as normal.
