I'd like to reopen the bug. I have two laptops, both running Ubuntu 10.4. On the Asus eeepc the resolution is reset correctly after sleep, but not on the Dell Inspiron. Hey Alexander, Hi, have you had a chance to test if this bug is still present in natty? If it does (and if you're the original reporter), please boot into natty and run the command: apport-collect bug-number which will update the bug with fresh logs and tag the bug as affecting natty. I have the same issue as observed above. The monitors are set to clone display overriding my original configuration. My laptop is a Thinkpad X200 and monitor is a Dell U2311.
