[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 793310] Re: Screen freeze when changing displays
I'm in a world of pain on 12.04 with similar issues. I switch between my laptop display and attached display multiple times a day. Since switching to the fglrx driver I get display freezes and regular hard locks on the system... It's a bloody nightmare. I want to run my great new Humble bundle games... but it's pointless if I cannot use my computer normally to do so. The driver works fine in normal operation, it's only on display changes that things go tits up. ** Changed in: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu) Status: Expired = New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/793310 Title: Screen freeze when changing displays To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/793310/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 793310] Re: Screen freeze when changing displays
Hey craig-zheng, You filed this bug report against natty, but I see it's still open and doesn't appear to have much activity recently. So, now that oneiric is released and stable, this may be a good point for you to upgrade and re-test if this issue is still present there. If it's solved in the new release and you think it's worth backporting the fix, please indicate that. Or if having the fix in the new release is good enough, feel free to close out the bug (or let us know and we'll close it.) If it's not solved, leave the bug report open. I can't promise we'll get to it (we get way more bugs filed than we can usually get to), but your testing and feedback can help out if and when we do. ** Changed in: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/793310 Title: Screen freeze when changing displays To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/793310/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Hi, Did an upgrade to Oneiric and problem persisted. Tried a fresh install of Oneiric and problem persists. Is there other info I can provide?
