[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 940761] Re: Session crash without warning.

2012-03-01 Thread Jules
Here is the comment i posted on
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-
synaptics/+bug/774978).

Maybe it can help to solve the problem.

Hello,
I used to have this bug at least 5times/day.
I was ready to do anything (virgin sacrifice at midnight, voodoo incantations,
praying for Bill Gates,...).
So when Warren say something about the touchpad-indicator i tried to uninstall
it. Just to see...
3 days later... no session crash. For me it "solved" the problem.

I'll post an update if i have the bug again.

2012-03-20 Thread Jules
After 17 days i had no crash.
touchpad-indicator is very handy so today i tried to install it again. Less
than one hour later my session close again without warning.
So i uninstalled it again but i will be great to have a solution to this

Hi Jules,
It's interesting your backtrace does still include an entry in librecord - it
looks very much like the original bug in 774978.

Hi Dave,
You are right but i didn't see any entry for "libpthread", that's why i created
this bug.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 940761] Re: Session crash without warning.

2014-01-06 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Jules, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is
already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one
would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.
