[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 984248] Re: Logging out of sessions results in a transitional black textual screen --Precise upgrade

2012-09-06 Thread Chascon
This again happens in 12.10 beta. It was fine till a few updates ago.
This always seems to be the case in early betas until it's borked
shortly before release.

** Summary changed:

- Logging out of sessions results in a transitional black textual screen
--Precise upgrade
+ Logging out of sessions results in a transitional black textual screen
--12.10 upgrade

xorg-server is the right spelling, ubuntu-bug just fails to recognize
it.

2012-04-17 Thread Chascon
Thanks Sebastien.

I thought xorg might be more appropriate but "ubuntu-bug xorg-server"
didn't work for me. Maybe I spelt it wrong. Just to provide another
clue, the black screen I mentioned looks like tty1, if one would start
xorg using startx.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 984248] Re: Logging out of sessions results in a transitional black textual screen --Precise upgrade

2012-04-17 Thread Sebastien Bacher
not really sure what's the right component, it doesn't seem to be likely
to be lightdm though since the issue happens before lightdm kicks in to
repaint the display, either something in the session should be done
differently but it seems not specific to one session type or desktop
environment so maybe something to improve in the xorg stack?

reassigning to xorg for comments from the people who know best about
that, their comment will probably be useful there

** Package changed: lightdm (Ubuntu) => xorg-server (Ubuntu)
