Daniel Cantarín, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xorg replace-with-bug-number Thank you for your understanding. Hi there! So, I'm having a hard time with the same bug as well. I've tried several linux versions with no success. Here's the list: - Mint 10, 12, 13 (amd64); - Ubuntu 10.04 , 11.04, 11.10, 12.04 (x86 amd64), 12.10; - Kubuntu 12.04 (x86 amd64); - Lubuntu 12.04 (x86 amd64) - this particular one crashes while loading systems files after a fresh install. It keeps logging me out randomly even with the open source drivers. Installing legacy drivers from AMD's doesn't help. Here's my desktop's specs: AMD Athlon II x4 3.0Ghz | 4GB-RAM | Sapphire ATi HD4830 512MB | 3 Maxtor HDD 40, 80 and 160GB.
