Seeing you doing all this, I really hesitate to do libc_hidden_proto removal before you merge nptl branch to trunk - it (removal) will touch almost every .c and .h file! So I will wait ~three weeks for the merge to complete. Ok Denys, thanks a lot... this will reduce my ffort in merge all these files. BTW, will there be a new uclibc release just before the merge? ;) ;) ;) definitely yes. Carmelo, could you please sync the NPTL branch against current trunk to bring the branch back up to date? This would make reviewing the NPTL branch alot more feasable.. TIA and cheers, Hi Bernhard, I'm going to complete some higher priority work on kernel side and then start immediately with uclibc again. I've also an important fix for nptl branch discovered while running firefox 3 on uclibc-nptl/sh4. Hopefully I'll restart the uclibc work next Monday at full time. Sorry for the delay. I've discussed privately with Khem that is working on re-basing ARM nptl port and agreed to commit all the merged stuff I had on my nptl working copy. In the recent weeks I've merged/integrated and tested a lot of work from trunk making a almost synchronized nptl branch (at least of sh4 port). At this point the current status of the NPTL branch is that it is working fine for sh4 and should still build and work for mips. So I kindly ask Steve to test again on his mips hw (apologies idvance for any breakage I could have done). Khem now is working to rebase his ARM patches on top of the freashen branch and than commit his stuff. If no issues from mips side (hopefully) we can say to have again a stable nptl branch for al three supported archs. There are other few files not completely merged with trunk that need more investigation (misc/internals and some other headers), but excluding these all the differences between nptl and trunk should be related to NPTL and TLS part. I'll take care of merging future incoming changes on trunk back to nptl branch. After that, hopefully in the next weeks (next two weeks I'll be not available), we will be ready to move all to trunk.
