Yes. Just use the host name of another machine in DBHost command.

UdmSearch: UDMSearch and Mysql on separate servers?

Hi folks,

Can I run UDMSearch on one system (the webserver) 
and mysql on another machine? The server my website (http://www.omphalos.net) is located on is 
receiving a lot of hits and getting kinda stressed out. I thought that if I 
could move the mysql db over to another system and access it from there it would 
take a lot of the strain off of the system and probably speed up searches as 
well. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am still 
using version 3.011 of UDMSearch (I tried 3.012 when it came out but could not 
get it working) as I have not had enough time to contemplate upgrading to a more 
recent version.
