My manager, Chris, got added to Flow Communications' mailing list

FC claim to have acquired his details through linkedin, claiming some

Chris isn't particularly known to uknof, and probably doesn't appear
on Mike's radar, and he is not at all pleased to be spammed, and
thinks that Flow are simply trying to cover their arses by appealing
to the connectiveness of uknof and Mike?

Oh dear... :(

I don't know Chris, and I'm not connected to him on LinkedIn, so I doubt
that Flow could have got his details from or via me.

Also, those of you who know me will know that I wouldn't go handing out
contact info.

Needless to say, I'm not impressed either... pretty disappointed, if the
truth be told.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Mike

There has been no communication between flow and UKNOF that I am aware
of. If you'd like to share off-list the contact details of who at Flow
you've had dealings with, we'd be happy to take this mis-representation
up with them.

Ø Needless to say, I'm not impressed either... pretty disappointed, if the

There are a number of companies who went through the attendee lists for the
last couple at least of UKNOF's and cold/called added people on linkedin.

I've been cold called / approached a while back by them so it's nothing new,
however claiming affiliation to UKNOF / Mike certainly is - but that's for
off-list.

Picky, but that's UCE, not spam. He should send one email instructing to be
removed from the list and, if they don't co-operate, then simply ban the domain
from his mail server.
