My power was out when I left the house at 4:30. I live at 49th Florence. Does
anyone know if the power has been restored in that area?

[UC] Mayor's Press Conference on Summer Meals Program

2010-06-24 Thread Linda Lee

I've been asked to forward the following:
L

 Hello to all,

I invite you and your friends to attend a Press Conference in the
Mayor's

Reception Room, City Hall tomorrow ( Friday June 25th) at 2 p.m.
The Press Conference will address the Summer Meals Program for food
 insecure children in the city.

It is important to have a full room when the Mayor holds these type
of

press conferences a full room means people care about the issue!
And summer meals are essential during this summer of need. You
will see
an article from this week's Inquirer regarding summer meals at the
bottom

of this email... it's hard hitting.

If you are able to attend, wonderful!
If not, please pass this invitation on to any of your friends or
neighbors who may work or live near center city.

 Time: 2 p.m. Friday June 25th.
Where: 2nd floor of City Hall, enter at the visitors entrance, NE
corner
of the building. A visitor's badge must be obtained on the ground
floor,

 at the entrance.
Who's speaking: The Mayor, the Director of the Greater Philadelphia
Coalition Against Hunger, a USDA official, and clergy from one of the
 City's neighborhoods.
Why come: Because our presence counts at events like this the
Mayor

pays attention to crowds ... presence counts and we have a very
serious food problem here in Philadelphia.

 All are welcome.

Thanking you and wishing you a very good summer,

 Diane Loucks
