Subject: re: security system scam artist just came by

A security system scam artist just rang my bell. He said he worked for GE and that GE had discovered that Vector alarm systems in this area were using outdated equipment that no longer conformed to requirements. He needed to come into my house to put a little device on my system, he said, FOR FREE. If I did not choose to get the device and contacted Vector
to upgrade my system, it would be costing me more than $200.

I was not buying the story, and he got quite annoyed and aggressive. Finally stalked off
angrily.

White guy, about 27, medium height, black hair, wearing a blue short sleeved shirt and carrying
a clip board and a yellow legal pad.

I called the police and asked them to see if they could catch him in the act. Vector, when called, said that this kind of thing has been going on and that it is NOT connected to any actual
problem with Vector systems.

Be careful!

Ann
