Subject: [PFSNI] We captured a possum (living in our basement)

Want to follow up on our request for a trap to let everyone know that a baby
possum was living in our basement for a week (see attached photo). Thanks
to the generosity of many neighbors we were able to capture it and the PSPCA
came and got the possum for release in the wild.
A big thank you to Jacob Nachmias who lent us the perfect trap. Also a
shout out to Lewis Mellman and Linda Lee who offered traps.
I want to acknowledge the suggestions and helpful ideas provided by Jamie J
Kudera, Wendell McKenzie, Kirk Wattles, Justin Flax, Kathleen Turner and
Melanie Lamond and the poem penned by Richard Conrad.
Turns out the City will no longer come out to capture a wild animal.

The Tool Library (46th and Woodland) have a squirrel trap and they can be
purchased from Harbor Freight in Sharon Hill.

Don't we live in a great neighborhood!

They make quite a-tasty roast stuffed with ramps and cornbread and a crawdad
cocktail as an entree. Possum tail soup is also a delight. Don't forget
moi when you are sending out them dinner invites.
