Yes I thought of the search display... That's because if you need to
see the name you have to double click. While in the search display
there's plenty of unused space next to the .desktop file name

I'm running it to see the cpu consumption.

Anyway after lost of reboots and a change the bug is vanished:
- uninstalled virtualbox 3 (deb from the site)
- removed the compiled kernel modules

This could be the problem, but I can't explain to myself why this
happened from the live cd too.

What I'll do now is to download todays daily live cd and test on it.

[Bug 392488] [NEW] empathy needs an adium theme

2009-06-26 Thread Nicolò Chieffo
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: empathy

Since adium themes support is now present, empathy needs a default theme that
matches ubuntu.
renkoo [1] can be a great start, but it needs some improvements:
- the contact name of the sender should be in the top of the bubble
- the image wastes lots of space because it allows text to appear only at its
right
- the javascript appendMessage and appendNextMessage should be fixed to scroll
only if the scrollbar is at the bottom of the page
- fix fader to work also with status messages (such as join parts in chat
rooms), and prevent the javascript crash which is currently caused

[Bug 382500] [NEW] OIM not supported but present in python-msn

2009-06-01 Thread Nicolò Chieffo
Public bug reported:

Re: [Bug 331564] Re: sometimes notification flickers when fading in

2009-04-22 Thread Nicolò Chieffo
In my opinion, the exception does not work at all. because if you
remove the fade plugin, notify-osd behaves in a different way!

[Bug 357007] [NEW] specify in the filename if the transfer is failed

2009-04-07 Thread Nicolò Chieffo
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-user-share

when receiving for instance a file named test.txt, it is immediately called
test.txt.
If the transfer fails, the user won't understand it.
Maybe, as firefox does, the file should be named test.txt.part, and them
renamed to test.txt only when the transfer is finished

[Bug 357005] [NEW] problem if starting a transfer with a non-paired device

2009-04-07 Thread Nicolò Chieffo
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-user-share

If you do the following steps, you will notice that the transfer won't start
after, even if the device is paired:
- don't pair the device
- start a transfer to the PC
- the transfer is rejected
** Message: transfer started on /home/yelo3/Scrivania/26032009(5).jpg
** Message: transfer started for device *
** Message: checking adapter /org/bluez/2513/hci0
** Message: ** is not bonded
** Message: ** is not trusted
** Message: accept_setting: 1
** Message: rejected transfer
** Message: transfered was cancelled by the sender
** Message: file finish transfer: /home/yelo3/Scrivania/26032009(5).jpg
- now pair the device
- start a transfer to the PC (again)
- the result is that the transfer is started (since I see in my phone that it
passes the connecting status, but hangs to 0%)
there is no additional debug (nothing appeats in the console)

I used the same device because I don't have any other, so I don't know
if this steps completely inhibits receiving from bluetooth (also from
other paired devices)
