In this case, I am not sure what you mean. Would you like me to download
Debian package and see if downloads and installs Kile 2.02 fine?

In the bug report you wrote that you ran Ubuntu 8.10 which is Intrepid.
The Kile in my PPA will install on Ubuntu 8.10.

It has been repaired in Kile 2.02 (see http://bugs.kde.org/172286), so the

In the current state, much of Kile's usability is lost, since many
processing jobs consist of multiple files.

 3. Expecting: latex error reports with the name of the (included) file in

 4. Instead: latex error reports with the name of the main (including) file,
but with the correct line number

2009-03-18 Thread Yossi Gil
Well, I used the debian package line:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/andreas-wenning/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main

and upon trying to install Kile, I got:

kile:
  Depends: kdebase-runtime (=4:4.1.96) but 4:4.1.4-0ubuntu1~intrepid1.1 is
to be installed
Depends: kdelibs5 (=4:4.1.96) but 4:4.1.4-0ubuntu1~intrepid1.1 is to be
installed

Re: [Bug 298594] Re: Wrong file names in Kile's errors and warnings summary

2009-03-17 Thread Yossi Gil
I would love to do help but i am not sure how.
I had to recompile Kile for another computer. again, i had problems in doing
that,
i looked it up in the internet, and i found the advise i once gave to
everyone, and it worked again for me like a charm, if i just install the
right library.

I am a bit hesitant to install jaunty. I checked out another your ppa, and
it only has Kile for Interpid.

BTW, Kile is wonderful.

 Hi Yossi

Can I have you test if the problem is the same in the new kde4 version
which is on the way. If you are running jaunty (alpha) it is in the
archive; on intrepid you can find it in my PPA https://launchpad.net
 /~andreas-wenning/+archive/ppa

[Bug 298594] Re: Wrong file names in Kile's errors and warnings summary

2008-11-20 Thread Yossi Gil
I finally managed to compile 2.02.
It turns out that Kile needs the kdelibs4-dev pakcage
so you need to

sudo apt-get install kdelibs4-dev

The older KDE libraries which I installed were not sufficient, and conused the
./configure script.
Installing the newer version will remove these older libraries.

It would be nice if KILE2.02 is made into an ubuntu package.
