After an update of X packages today to version 1:7.4+3ubuntu10, this seems to happen less often for me. The mythfrontend is non-responsive to LIRC events only after every 10th-20th restart. I have now tested this in mythtv-trunk from SVN, where I do not experience this. If I uninstall, and run the ubuntu version, I get the same problem. [Bug 479562] Re: mythfrontend sometimes does not respond to lirc events
The problem persists with mythtv-trunk from SVN. Note that using `irxevent` works. So if I have the following in my .lircrc: begin remote = iMON-PAD prog = irxevent button = Ch+ repeat = 0 config = Key Up CurrentWindow end begin remote = iMON-PAD prog = mythtv button = Ch- config = Down repeat = 0 delay = 0 end Then channel up works, while channel down many times does not. It seems like if I get lucky and everything works, they keep on working if I restart mythtv quickly over and over. BTW: I get the following in my /var/log/mythtv/mythfrontend.log before LIRC works: 2009-04-01 08:21:53.569 lirc init success using configuration file: /home/nins/.mythtv/lircrc Is there some easy way I can debug this problem? [Bug 479541] [NEW] Buttons in Mythbuntu theme disappear on startup.
Public bug reported: This happens about one in three times when I start `mythfrontend`, with no pattern I can deduce, except good and bad runs are slightly clustered. Sometimes I catch a glimpse of them, sometimes I don't, and sometimes everything works fine. But if I go out of the menu system, for example to Watch Live TV, the menus are visible when I come back. [Bug 429281] [NEW] table egw_access_log does not have primary key
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: egroupware I got passwords mixed up and found my admin user blocked. The FAQ says: http://www.egroupware.org/index.php?page_name=wikiwikipage=FAQen (see #5) 5. My ip or user is blocked. How can I unblock it? EGroupWare has a security mechanism to prevent attacks. You can tune it in admin - Site configuration. You have options like the time for retries, number of retries, etc. So, this is the first place you have to take a look at before trying anything else, mostly for further issues. By default the block time is set to 30 minutes, so after some time you will be ablte to login again, without doing anything. Even with this in mind, if for chance a trusted user (or ip) gets blocked and you want to unlock that user or ip, you have to browse the egw_access_log table, and search in the session_id field the a value that's not a session_id nor just 'bad login or password'. You'll find it, and check that the row data (user, ip) matches the one you want to unlock (there could be an attacker, too, and you could unlock him), so using your preferred db tool, make sure you delete this record (there isn't a unique id field in this table). BUT: this doesn't work because that table has no primary key: pgadmin3 shows the following error: Edit table data without primary key Since the table public.egw_access_log doesn't have a primary key or OIDs, you can view the data only. Inserting new rows and changing existing rows isn't possible for the Edit Data tool without primary key. In order to edit data, pgAdmin III requires a primary key on the table, which is a good database design practice anyway. Alternatively, the table can be created WITH OIDS. Please note that oids are not guaranteed to be unique over a very long period of time, so using oids as kind-of primary key is only second choice. To resolve this issue, a primary key should exist for this table. Running: n...@kfunambol:~$ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. [Bug 348934] [NEW] MythTV doesn't go full screen without desktop visual effects off
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mythtv If Visual Effects are enabled on the Gnome desktop (System -- Preferences -- Appearance -- Visual Effects), mythfrontend doesn't go full screen, but the Gnome panels show. $ lsb_release -r Release:9.04 $ uname -a Linux kuken 2.6.28-11-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP Mon Mar 23 16:40:00 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux ~$ apt-cache policy mythtv-frontend mythtv-frontend: Installed: 0.21.0+fixes19961-0ubuntu8 Not sure if this is the fault of MythTV or Compiz though. [Bug 120018] Re: vim can't open files under curlftpfs directory
good ideas for testing. I just tried: - Situation 1: create a directory (755), touch a file in it, then vi it, Result: E677, no backup file, no data in it. - Situation 2: chmod the directory to 770, vi the file in the dir, E507, backup file exists, but no data in either file (the backup file being empty is OK since the orig file was empty) - Situation 3,4: chmod the dir to 777 and try vi-ing the file and chmodding the file to 666 and trying the vi is the same as situation 2 a cp in that dir with 777 privs also gives the IO error, but the file is created with the right content. Anyone in the mood to write a perl or C test script that tries several write-close-fsync combinations out to narrow down the problem? Funnily enough kate writes the file but complains, and vi does not write and complain... maybe a different order of when the backup is created/written, or a bug in kate that writes the main file even if the backup fails? -- vim can't open files under curlftpfs directory https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120018 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list universe-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
[Bug 120018] Re: vim can't open files under curlftpfs directory
I've created a Kate bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdesdk/+bug/345268 Maybe the resolution of that will shed some light on what fuse is and is not doing right. This bug is currently marked as INCOMPLETE, why? what's needed to complete it? -- vim can't open files under curlftpfs directory https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120018 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list universe-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
[Bug 120018] Re: vim can't open files under curlftpfs directory
This is still a problem under the latest intrepid, and I'm fairly sure I've seen the exact same behavior on my Jaunty machine as well. curlftpfs 0.9.2 libcurl/7.18.2 fuse/2.7 vim fails with E667: Fsync failed (and the data is NOT written to the file) cp fails with an cp: closing 'filename.txt' input/output error, but the file IS created and written properly. kate complains about not being able to save the file as well, but DOES write it I'm willing to run test cases, let me know what's needed. -- vim can't open files under curlftpfs directory https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120018 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list universe-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
