There should ba a few threads in here on how I got it to run - it was
very uneventful. Install Ubuntu 8.10, set up the software source, and
it went pretty flawlessly. This is on Ubuntu 8.10 64 bit, the only
problem were the iTunes files, but that got easily solved too.

The only way to get Squeezeplay running on Linux currently is by
applying a patch (which can be found somewhere on the forums) and
building yourself. 

There is an open bug (you can vote on):
