Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Squeezecenter on Marvel Sheeva Plug - Help!
What processor does the plug have? Maybe its not compatible with Squeezecenter? -- bert1e bert1e's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1419 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63571 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Squeezecenter on Marvel Sheeva Plug - Help!
It has an ARM processor and there is no suitable deb available at the moment. SD may indicated they will support ARM in the future. So for the moment you have to build your own SC. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Newbie install, frustrations with gpg key and msql permissions
nowork;420571 Wrote: Thanks. Disabling SeLinux allowed squeezecenter to start/run. Much appreciated, as I am a newbie to Linux. However, the no GPG key bug report and the fact that the SqueezeCenter RPM Wiki says, The SqueezeCenter RPM will work with SELinux enabled on CentOS 5 and all current versions of Fedora, make me think there the intention is for Squeezecenter to work seamlessly. Is is appropriate to update the GPG bug traker, and add the SeLinux issue? Thanks again. I also am a newbie at linux... I had/have the same problem as you have: 1. GPG key: You have to download and install the security key to recognize the repo as a safe repository (loopup import GPG key) 2. Now for my question: Is there a way to keep the SElinux on and start Squeezecenter, because i am using the Linux machine also as a mailserver and webserver... So i would leave the security in place??? Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Can't call method log
Still not sure what was going on here but I've managed to install SC 7.3.2 on archlinux. Using the attached package builder one can create a new pacman (archlinux packager) package and install SC My regards go to the good people (tomk, Bebo) of http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=557078#p557078 +---+ |Filename: squeezecenter-7.3.2-pkg .gz | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=7469| +---+ -- th00ht SqueezeBox v3 SqueezeCenter7.4 Quad 303 + Two Quad Electrostats 'last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/th00ht) th00ht's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15656 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63617 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] SqueezeCenter 7.2.1 trouble on Archlinux
For some reason the manual approach included various perl packages that SC didn't like. Don't ask me the details but I you use the procedure in http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63617 you should be fine. -- th00ht SqueezeBox v3 SqueezeCenter7.4 Quad 303 + Two Quad Electrostats 'last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/th00ht) th00ht's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15656 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=55017 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Slimcenter 7.0 on Ubuntu 8.04 - apparmor issues
Just to let you know for those on 9.04. I noticed there are problems related to AppArmor on 9.04, and it doesn't even launch yet as far as I know. In order to get the SqueezeCenter software running, I uninstalled AppArmor and immediately the SqueezeCenter software installed. -- washakie washakie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30517 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46614 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Auto managing multiple interfaces - link down event
Thanks a lot for your response, I am sure it will be helpful to many. I have used bonding on linux (a little) and bridging (a lot more.) Bonding ethernet and wifi is a great idea to get mobility + throughput at will (provided mii works well with your hardware platform.) However, bonding is not practical in my case, since I voluntarily use 2 different subnets, one for wired, one for wireless. After a bit more of googling, I decided that I'd write a note making clear that disconnecting the ethernet plug is not the way to go to stop the wired interface... Problem solved. If I were to use a single network, I would surely give bond a go. Thanks again. -- epoch1970 epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63444 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
