Hi John, Thanks for the reply, sorry I should of been clearer, I ment do I have to use the webgui or could I just use SSH. I've actually had squeezelite working with multiple instances, for anyone interested you need to do as below. Code: squeezelite -o [Audio Output - Must be unique and one instance per DAC/Card"] -m [mac address of your choice in format ab:cd:ef:12:34:56] -n [Name of squeezelite instance] -s [Server:Port] -z (Runs as daemon) So one of mine looks like Code: squeezelite -o FRONT:CARD=DAC,DEV=0 -m ab:cd:ef:12:34:11 -n BedroomTest -s 192.168.1.4 -z MarkLP's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62624 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99395 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Hi Mark, some clarifications: when you say "run" what do you mean? The webgui in CSOS is for configuration, not for playing music. Are you planning on having multiple squeezelite instances running on the same wandboard? If that is the case then yes you will have to set that up through ssh, the webgui just supports only one player instance per wandboard. It will probably take some work to get multiple squeezelite instances running on the same wandboard. All of the configuration tasks can be done by ssh into the wandboard and editing files if that is your preference, but very little requires ssh and changing files directly. John S. When I get home I will try the iwconfig command as my experience with the WiPi RaLink dongle is similar to yours. What is the command to list the Rt chipset and Rf chipset ? Steen, in your excellent web page under WiFi Settings clicking the "Submit" box will list iwconfig, I think displaying the iwconfig info at the bottom of the page after the "Available WiFi networks" would be useful. Also, could you display the info that anotheruser showed? - the first 3 or 4 lines that detail the chipset in the dongle would complement the iwconfig info. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: Squeezelite - a small headless squeezeplay emulator for linux (alsa only)
Hello, I'd love to make a low-priority feature request. Very happy Squeezelite user here, replacing all my HW squeezeboxes since a long time :) I'm using squeezelite to drive a USB DAC, which unfortunately makes some noise on other parts of the audio chain when I'm bypassing the DAC. Turning off squeezelite releases the USB driver and clears up the noise. So I'd love to request a timer on the command line, so squeezelite releases the ALSA device after a certain time of idling. Thanks!
