Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty Tahr) problems: Logitech Media Server died. Restarting.
My machine is 32 bit. Does this mean I need to install a 64 bit version or is there a work round? Is your machine 32 bit or did you install 32-bit on your otherwise 64-bit capable machine? You could most likely build all dependencies yourself... but it can be a bit involved -- Michael ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

I'll try the .deb first, of course. No matter how it goes with the Cubieboard 2, I'll report back on my findings. lolgitech's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62709 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100391 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: Squeezelite - a small headless squeezeplay emulator for linux (alsa only)
Triode, I was playing with the latest Squeezelite recently with a new DAC (CA DacMagic 100) and noticed Squeezelite was no longer doing gapless (!?!) Playing live albums I noticed small, but noticeable, 'glitches' between tracks. This has never happened through any SB hardware. Files are ALAC, but the glitches also happen converting to WAV server-side. Tried ASIO DS and WASAPI. same outcome. Switching back to onboard Realtek sound and the glitches are a tad smaller, but still there. Any thoughts? Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] CubieNOS
Comunity version there is the CSOS project http://www.communitysqueeze.org/ for the wandboard ? They probably implemented some stuff not yet seen in the regular version. But this is very wandboard and fedora specific . So the regular nightly builds of 7.8 is what most of us use , there is also some release candies aviable . Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] CubieNOS
Thanks for the snark, but it wasn't obvious that nightlies were the only choice when I was searching; I use a search engine other than Google which still orders mysqueezebox at the top; and when it produced those results I started looking on the forums. As of this writing, for anyone else who finds the thread, it appears that you want to be downloading 7.8 nightlies at http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.8 It's also not clear if the "ARM EABI" mentioned in the _all.deb Debian package is armhf, armel, or both; I suppose I'll install it, see if it works acceptably (armhf > armel though both should work on the Cubie), and build the tarball if it doesn't. Thanks. lolgitech's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=62709 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=100391 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty Tahr) problems: Logitech Media Server died. Restarting.
Installed 14.04 latest nightly build. Downloaded latest 7.8.0 LMS build. Installed it. Done. Working flawlessly. Please note that LMS 7.8 currently requires you to run Ubuntu (or whatever other Perl 5.18 based Linux in x86_64 mode. 32-bit mode currently is not supported. -- Michael ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] CubieNOS
I'm just now switching from an 'easy' 7.7.x setup on OS X which died, to running the community version 7.8.x on a Cubieboard 2 (A20). But ... where do I download the code and how do I build it, or are there armhf .debs out? I've been looking and haven't found links. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=download+logitech+media+server+7.8&l=1 -- Michael ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
