Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] LMS debian unstable package fails to run with perl 5.20

Thanks a lot rpress! Your package also works for me.
Tried to do a source build on my own but I completely failed...

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: Squeeze on Arch - developer version

2014-09-11 Thread bobertuk

Hi Triode,

I'm not sure if this is something you want to do but I thought I'd
mention it anyway...

Have been running SoA successfully for a few weeks now and the only real
problem I've had is with LMS scanning. Scanning was freezing up SoA
completely during either 'Finding coverart files' or 'Pre-caching
artwork' and LMS was very sluggish in the web browser with some icon
corruption. I tried all kinds of things to sort it out and in the end it
turned out to be cache problems in '/opt/logitechmediaserver/cache'. I
simply disabled LMS, deleted the following files

artwork.*
cache.*
imagproxy.*
library.*
persist.*
cookies.dat

Restarted LMS, then did a full re-scan. As far as I know none of the
deleted cache files are critical in that they are recreated on a restart
and full scan.

Would it be possible to add a button in the SoA 'squeeze server' config
screen to stop LMS, delete those files then restart LMS (and possibly do
a full rescan)? It would be useful for those with no unix knowledge to
easily delete corrupt cache files in this way.

Thanks

Bob

PS - I'll be trying out connecting a HDD (using an Icybox) to Wandboard
quad using SATA/eSATA soon - will post here when I have something to
report. I'm using the Icybox at present with USB.

I've made a change - could you try a new install (actually just need to
uninstall and reinstall soa-web, but a new install may be easier if you
don't want to try the command line..)
