MartinS0815 wrote: In config.txt: max_usb_current=1 the pi is already connected to ethernet Any other ideas? Well all I got left Boss is my tip of the week None of these worked, however another of Ronnies suggestions did: apt-get update then apt-get upgrade then a hard reboot (pulling the power plug from the pi) fixed it. My usb-dac is now listed and selectable in the squeezelite setup. cheers You might try the hard reset first (is the dongle light flashing?) I have used an Edimax (not this one) and sometimes a hard reset has got it going, it does take a while to fire up. Can you test the dongle in another computer to see if it is OK. Apparently there is a driver for Linux http://www.edimax.com/en/support_detail.php?pd_id=277pl1_id=1pl2_id=#01 Man in a van's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43627 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Sorry MartinS0815, It looks like Edimax has changed the specification of their wifi dongle. From the wifi list it looks like the old one worked and the new one doesn't. It looks like JackOfAll has opened a request Enable Mediatek mt7601u wifi driver in 4.2 tree to the Raspberry Pi Linux git. That's the first step, then the piCore guys need to add the firmware to the appropriate extension or make a new one. The next version of piCorePlayer will probably not be using the 4.2 tree. The piCorePlayer in testing uses linux 4.1.4-piCore. I would like to thank JackOfAll, without his in-depth understand of these issues and raising change requests like this, the Raspberry Pi, piCore and therefore piCorePlayer would further behind. regards Greg Greg Erskine's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7403 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
