Hi Wirrunna,

Thanks for highlighting this.

The standard piCorePlayer image has just enough free space for the
insitu-upgrade to work. This means the image is still reasonably small
but doesn't require any expansion. This was good enough until all the
extras that have been made available. If you load one or two extensions,
the free space is used and insitu-upgrade will not work until to you
resize filesystem. The LMS extension is bigger than the free space on
the standard Image so a "Resize FS" is mandatory.

The current wording is probably a little confusing. We probably could
probably also make the process more automatic, like, check space, not
enough, popup - Resize FS?

Greg

For those with this problem, I've created a "beta" version to try.
For this beta version, please add the following repository to your
plugins screen in LMS:
"http://superdatetimewu.sourceforge.net/test_repo.xml";

You should then be able to let the installer install SDT version
5.10.22

If you try it, please let me know if it works for you, or if it has
issues.
I deleted a small section of code which was causing problems with the
newer version of PERL. The change seems to still be working OK on my
system, but I don't know if I broke something in the process. Good
Luck!

Hi mattbar1,

Web pages usually update in 1 or 2 seconds.

My guess is your error indicate it is a network issue. Blocked ports,
duplicated IP, multiple subnets??

>From your config.cfg. You should be getting sound out of your
analog/headphone jack, assuming Squeezelite has a green tick and
Squeezelite is green in the bottom banner indicating it is running.

Check your pCP2.03 image is around 75Mb.

Normally, a freshly installed piCorePlayer should just work without any
setup required, assuming wired Ethernet, you have DHCP and LMS is
working. Output will default to Analog output jack on RPi.

You mention Roon and Rune, and hifiberry setup I have not used any
of these, so I have no idea of any complications they may or may not
cause.

It says "Try Expanding Your Partition", it's not a difficult process and
frees lots of space.

It is relatively simple, because it is a brand new install.

RPi B
16GB micro SD
HIFI Berry Dac+ Pro

I am using ethernet, but would like to use wifi (but wifi does not
connect after reboot)

I plan to use Airplay (from mobile IOS devices) and Squeezebox (from
Roon), using Squeezebox for the better than Airplay quality.

I have not done anything with LMS.

I can try and upload a file when but this is a new install, so I can
also just do a reinstall if needed.

Thanks again!

make sure you close the sd card before removing it from the PC.

Ok, I will try that. I do not think that will make a difference. But it
doesn't make sense

This is also what I do.

If you attach a screen to your raspberry you can probably see what goes
wrong during the boot process, also piCorePlayer will show you the IP
address at the near end of the boot process.

I'm using a sandisc 8gb class 10 micro sd card. I format it with
SDformatter & then write the piCoreplayer file to the disc using win32
image writer.

Have you tried doing a complete reload (Shift+Reload in firefox) it
possibly might be caching the old page.

Thanks for looking at yours for me.

When I click on the tabs at the bottom - Normal, Advanced (anything but
basic)...I can see it essentially changes the debug mode. After the mode
is changed, it attempts to refresh the page but it never re-loads. I
have tried Firefox, IE and Chrome. I have also reimaged the SD card with
the OS.

Still nothing. Frustrating.

I tnik Jivelite is expecting a http url to a file list. For this I think
you have to have a Http server containing the jpgs and a list of those
jpgs.

Example of my system:

Code:

  http://10.44.4.2/picturesforjivelite/pictures.lst

Sample content of that list

Code:

  http://10.44.4.2/picturesforjivelite/DSC00339.JPG
  http://10.44.4.2/picturesforjivelite/DSCF0108.jpg
  http://10.44.4.2/picturesforjivelite/DSCF0283.jpg
  http://10.44.4.2/picturesforjivelite/DSCF0286.jpg
  http://10.44.4.2/picturesforjivelite/DSCF0449.jpg
  http://10.44.4.2/picturesforjivelite/DSCF0506.jpg
  http://10.44.4.2/picturesforjivelite/DSCF0507.jpg
  http://10.44.4.2/picturesforjivelite/DSCF0848.JPG

2016-03-24 Thread mattbar1

I have piCorePlayer 2.03 installed on a RPi 2B with a HiFiBerry Dac+Pro.
This version will not let me change to debug modes other than Basic.
Normal & Advanced will not load.

Is anyone else experiencing this on the latest version? Should I go back
to a previous version?

Thanks!

I run a Vortexbox with Jivelite (piCoreplayer). I want to use the
screensaver to display the photographs that I have stored on my

address I should use in the 'Screensaver' (when stoped) 'Image viewer',
'Source specific settings' entry box ?? I've tried all sorts, nothing
works

Thanks Ralphy.

I'd tried that folder but totally missed that I needed the pcp_ adding.
Works great now.

Put them in /home/tc/.jivelite/userpath/wallpapers and the filenames
have to start with pcp_ for them to be picked up by the
settings->screen->wallpaper menu

At what stage does your PiCore install fail? Are there any errors when
you connect a monitor/tv?
