Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Jivelite for piCorePlayer
I have been using piCorePlayer throughout the house for a while and I love it. I recently updated to the latest version (3.02) and was happy to find that it included jivelite. I set up a Pi with an old 800x480 hdmi lcd screen that I had laying around and it works great. The touchscreen works but it needs calibration. The jivelite installation includes the ts_calibrate command but I can't run it from the console because I can't quit jivelite. Is there a way to quit jivelite so I can run ts_calibrate, or what would be the proper way to do this? I know that it supports the official rpi display, but the display I have seems to work fine, and I would like to use it for testing and convincing the wife. Thanks to everyone involved in this project, and thanks for any help. rarroyo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66275 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103330 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

You can turn on again the device via a remote control app (ie android or other, from smartphone), But that's it, I also did not manage to find a way to switch it on via touch achgotz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66051 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98156 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Allo KALI Reclocker & Raspberry Pi DACs running as Slave or Master?

Anyway, if you are willing to > drop the 50 notes, based on my recommendation, to power Kali (and via > Kali, DAC board and back-power Pi). I got 2 of these ifi iPower 5v/2.5A, they are obviously aimed at the a'phool types as there is gold writing on the sticker. The first powers an RPi 2B complete with a 7" Touch screen, KALI reclocker and MamboBerry DAC and works fine. The second one is connected to a similar config however the dac is an Allo Piano, the cheaper one with the headphone amp. Now this one displays the little multicoloured square in the top right hand corner of the screen that indicates low voltage or not enough current. Swapping to an Allo Power Supply (https://www.allo.com/sparky/power-supply.html#features) disappears the little multicoloured square. Buggered if I can hear any difference. The Piano DAC must draw a couple more squilliamps than the MamboBerry. A camel is a racehorse designed by a committee.
