Hi,

IMHO (i am stripping debian to not use systemd and prefer sysvinit) that
setting didnt hurt anybody cause its just a "check" for any remote
filesystems and if there arent any - it doesnt sleep the lms start.

I would vote to add $remote_fs to the official version...

If the password is showing up after pressing the set button, there is

fed to the Samba database, it is not saved anywhere that I can reload it

hi bambadoo,

I think you will find you need to update your client. They have been
tightening up security on ssh over the last couple of years.

We changed from "dropbear" to "openSSH" a couple of versions ago. This
enforces a "proper" level of security.

As Paul- mentioned, we use putty, scp, ssh and winSCP everyday to
develop piCorePlayer. It's the first thing that has to work! :D

Greg

I guess I'm not sure what you are asking for. Whey would you need a

This patch set is known in the audiophile ranks as the "Simple" kernel.
I should mention that while there has been testing done with Audio.
The Audio patches are not supported if something is broken. Clive is no
longer doing audio driver development work. The changes done to help
with audio "might" break some other portions of the system. This kernel
was released at the request of some of the audiophiles out there. If
you are an average user, I would stick with the normal kernel. The
normal kernel is pretty much same configuration that ships with
Raspbian.

Not sure where you are seeing that option. Drivers only exist for a 2.0
configuration in pCP. I know that allo has a 2.1 driver, but I thought
they were still having problems with the DSP files.

ralphy wrote:

This is a snippet from my modified slimproto.c

Code:

case 'u':
{
unsigned jiffies = unpackN(&strm->replay_gain);
LOCK_O;
output.state = jiffies ? OUTPUT_START_AT :
OUTPUT_RUNNING;
output.start_at = jiffies;
status.frames_played = output.frames_played;
UNLOCK_O;
  #if GPIO
ampidle = 0;
  #endif
  LOCK_D;
  decode.state = DECODE_RUNNING;
  UNLOCK_D;

LOG_DEBUG("unpause at: %u now: %u", jiffies,
gettime_ms());
sendSTAT("STMr", 0);
}

I added these three lines.

Code:

  LOCK_D;
  decode.state = DECODE_RUNNING;
  UNLOCK_D;

AGAIN, I DON'T MEAN TO SUGGEST THIS IS THE FIX. I BARELY KNOW THE CODE,
AND I DID THIS SIMPLY TO FORCE THE DECODER TO RUN.

It looks like there was an assumption that this conditional block of
code in slimproto.c would be executed when autostart==1 and
status.stream_state==STREAMING_HTTP, and would set decode.state to
DECODE_RUNNING. However, with a very small mp3 file, that doesn't
appear to be the case. I'm not seeing status.stream_state equal to
STREAMING_HTTP.

Code:

if ((status.stream_state == STREAMING_HTTP ||
status.stream_state == STREAMING_FILE) && !sentSTMl
&& decode.state == DECODE_READY) {
if (autostart == 0) {
decode.state = DECODE_RUNNING;
_sendSTMl = true;
sentSTMl = true;
} else if (autostart == 1) {
decode.state = DECODE_RUNNING;
_start_output = true;
}
decode.state = DECODE_RUNNING;
// autostart 2 and 3 require cont to be
received first
}

Thanks for looking into this!

Can we have more details about "all the audio related patches that Clive
(aka JackOfAll) made for the Raspberry Pi kernel"?

Many thanks for your efforts! ;)

3.10 is working very well, thank you!

When I choose Allo Piano Dac as the soundcard, do I choose the 2.0 or
the 2.1 version?

As we all know SourceForge can be a little unreliable from time to time,
so my best advice is to try again.

The lightning bolt is an indicator of a too weak power supply. So if you
experience problems you should get a better power supply.
