Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Picoreplayer Japanese/Chinese characters display as pinyin?
Well that was a little bit of a challange. Thanks a lot for accepting it :-). This and the little request I saw led me to give up on building it for newer systems... But then pCP comes with its own Perl build anyway, doesn't it? You're using 5.24? Thanks a lot! -- Michael ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Picoreplayer Japanese/Chinese characters display as pinyin?
Would you get those characters when running LMS from a different platform (PC or Mac)? Do you mean hosting LMS on a windows pc? If so I haven't done that. Yes, that's what I was asking. But when I access LMS from a windows pc I can see the fonts render correctly. It's not about the display where you're seeing the characters, but about the server. SB3 is a dumb device. All content is rendered on the server. Therefore the server needs to be able to render your characters. I would expect this to work on a PC, but fail on many other systems. -- Michael ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Okay, not sure what causes it, but quite a few wifi devices don't work under the Audio kernel. That is why I mention that right in the OP to not use wifi. paul-'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58858 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107223 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Yes you do have a soundcard, you just don't have a DAC on the RPI. Who makes the Digi+ that is a critical piece of information. If the product is made by Hifiberry, then rpi3 onboard wifi is almost guaranteed to fail. paul-'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58858 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107223 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

As I noted in my post, I have a Digi+ installed in the RPI3 which I use to output to my DAC via an optical link. I use the Digi+ setting in PCP. 96KHz files work with the DAC and my SBTouch, I am assuming the DAC and LMS are not the problem.
