Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Picoreplayer 4.1 2 instance of shairport-sync

2018-12-18 Thread Gandalfand

Sure, but with lms i have latency when i play youtube video over
airplay.

So, the problem, i d'ont have see any opttion on lms to add or hide just
some player, its show all player in lsm over airplay.

So i will have some player with the same name because some have
shaire-sync install inself and other across lms..

Hi

I have been using squeezelite happily on old ubuntu 14.10 system for
many years. I have now installed 18.10 on a new partition and installed
squeezelite by using apt-get install.

When I start the program it runs ok, however if I stop it and then start
it again, it promptly exits ie doesn't stay running, see below:

Code:

paul@antec300:/etc/init.d$ sudo /etc/init.d/squeezelite start

Is this a problem with the /etc/init.d/squeezelite script or something I
have done?
Some posts refer to a systemd file
/etc/systemd/system/squeezelite.service - I don't have that file, is
that something to do with it?

TIA paul

No problem, I answered the question myself. The newly built decoders or
those downloaded from Ralphy's SourceForge site go in
'[path/to]/lms/Bin' where 'path/to' depends on your install. I installed
lms into /usr/local so the path for me was /usr/local/lms/Bin. I built
Flac and wavepack and added faad and sox from Ralphy. I couldn't build
alac_decoder and there was no monkey's audio (I added it with pkg). My
install is up and running and plays all my files. I haven't dried dsd
yet but I will.

It is just a wording change. Not much under the hood change other than
a newer kernel in 4.1.0.

My suggestion is to use Phillippe's shairtune2w plugin instead. You only
need to have one plugin installed on your LMS server, then all
squezeboxes and squeezelite players are available as Apple players as
well.

[SlimDevices: Unix] Picoreplayer 4.1 2 instance of shairport-sync

2018-12-18 Thread Gandalfand

Hi, i have a picoreplayer 4.1 with an hiffiberry i use 2 mono chanel
zone1 and zone 2 its work like a charm with squeezelite with user
command :
squeezelite -n Salle_de_bain -m 00:00:00:00:00:01 -o zone1 -z
squeezelite -n Toilettes -m 00:00:00:00:00:02 -o zone2 -z

I tried to make the same with shaireport-sync but i can have only 1
instance working :
Shairport is using these settings:

/usr/local/sbin/shairport-sync -a piCorePlayer -o alsa -S soxr -d -D -R
--metadata-pipename=/tmp/shairport-sync-metadata --get-coverart -- -d
zone1

i have try to put a user command like :

/usr/local/sbin/shairport-sync -a Toilettes -o alsa -S soxr -d -D -R
--metadata-pipename=/tmp/shairport-sync-metadata --get-coverart -- -d
zone2

Its not working...

Someone have a solution please?

Thx a lot

Thanks Greg. FWIW and I realize it's not that important, I opened i.p.
address of an old pCP (v3.0) and there are NO tabs for the other players
shown in it's web ui either.
I will upgrade my other players to v 4.1
Thanks again.
