Hi Paul-

I think it is something deeper than just not being backed up.

usr/local/etc/keytables/jivelite IS being backed up just not working
after reboot

Default SB3 remote does not work after reboot either.

After reboot:-

The USB card should be properly identified and asound should be updated
based on the card. But with the typo in asound, it doesn't get updated
properly.

If you want to manually fix it from ssh. You will need to at least fix
the typo manually (See below)

Code:

  tc@Pi4-4G-devel:~$ alsacap -R
*** Scanning for recording devices ***

Card 0, ID `CODEC', name `USB Audio CODEC'
  Device 0, ID `USB Audio', name `USB Audio', 1 subdevices (1 available)
1..2 channels, sampling rate 8000..48000 Hz
  Sample formats: S8, S16_LE
Buffer size range from 32 to 1048576
Period size range from 16 to 524288
  Subdevice 0, name `subdevice #0'

  Card 1, ID `ALSA', name `bcm2835 ALSA'

So my USB device is card 0

So my asound is.

Code:

  pcm.pcpinput {
  type plug
  slave.pcm "hw:1,0"
  }

Note that is a comma between the 1 and 0

The content of my file is:

-table: apple, type: nec
0x87eee50a KEY_UP
0x87eee50c KEY_DOWN
0x87eee509 KEY_LEFT
0x87eee506 KEY_RIGHT
0x87eee505 KEY_SPACE
0x87eee503 KEY_ENTER-

As stated before, the file itself works like this, and even loads into
jivelite after reboot, but doesn't get recognzied somehow. I've also
checked the -/opt/.filetool.lst- in diagnostics and the file
-/usr/local/etc/keytables/jivelite- is also listed in there.
27822

I've also attached a screenshot of the scancodes sent by the white apple
remote.
I am using the upload function and the file is simple named apple.conf.

Thank you very much.

What I forgot to mention. Does it matter what I write into the file? I
mean for table and type?

Currently I typed in:
table: apple, type: nec

Because my testing outputs protocol nec32, could be the problem also
here??

Thank you again

Hi Paul, thank you for your answer. Yes tried various different namings,
e.g. apple.conf, but none worked. I also have checked the folder

still didn’t work.

I will take a look into the .filetool.lst thought, haven’t done that

I run ubuntu, but it's completely personal preference. I also do not
use the .deb packages, I run directly from git source. I also run from
a custom perl, that way I don't get screwed up when the OS packagers
decide to change the perl.

If you are loading manually, your file must be called
/usr/local/etc/keytables/jivelite

The upload script will automatically rename whatever you upload to the
above name. As jeff mentioned, keep spaces out of your upload name.

For backups, look on the diagnostics page and make sure that file is
listed the section for /opt/.filetool.lst

That is all normal outputprobably need to leave that running
with the ssh open see if there is something logged when it stops.

You can also turn on logging from the web interface, and reboot.then
check the logging when it stops.

Just realised I have this problem as well, I have rebooted (from cron)
and now remote does not work.

If i clear the keytables and reload using the WEB GUI even if I ssh in
and do "pcp br" the custom table works fine but does not survive a

This might seem like a silly question ... but I have an extension listed
as Uninstalled (pcp-lame.tcz) and I want it to be installed.
The web page shows:
"Extensions can be:

repositories.
Installed - the extension has been downloaded to local storage and
installed.
Uninstalled - the extension has been downloaded to local storage but
not installed.
"

So ... what do I have to do to make it install ... perhaps delete (frmo
the "Uninstalled" page and download again with the risk that I break
something while deleting.

It seems to default to 1780 720 but I everything is a little too large.

When I alter it to 1920 1080 the resolution is fine.

I'm only seeingthis (see what I did there?) since the new rpi4b.

I'll check a 3b and 3b+ sometime soon.
