Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 6.0.0
The Players Tabs are generated thru squeezelite, so turn off squeezelite the tabs will disappear. This was written before we had LMS running on pCP. Also, if you mix really old versions of pCP you may get and incomplete number of tabs. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 6.0.0
I have installed PiCorePlayer on a Rpi 4 and am running LMS on it... If I go to the PiCorePlayer Control 'Main' Page and select 'Extras' at the Bottom (I am always running Beta). Then I select 'Test' and I get a list of my players that are running Squeezelite. However, the only way that these Players are displayed is if the Raspberry Pi that is running LMS is also running Squeezelite... Turn off squeezelite and the players disappear. Is this a Bug or a feature?:D Cut-Throat's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=43167 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111787 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Regarding #3, there was a forth page that didn't make it into production that disabled the http server (after a few minutes). I think, you can manually change GUI_DISABLE="0" in the pcp.cfg to a few minutes. The CLI setup command ($ setup) has the option to turn off the GUI but it is either on or off, no grace period after reboot. regards Greg Greg Erskine's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7403 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109401 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

I finally thought I would try feeding a Touch properly de-emphasized files and the Wandboard the pre-emphasized versions. Switching back and forth, the Wandboard no longer sounds dramatically muffled and in fact both players sound reasonably identical. Hi I got the dreaded "Empty" Artists (from LMS on PCP) and it turns out net mount is having issues again, and I'd thought I'd fixed my server issues! Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Wandboard Muffled S/PDIF Audio
Now *I'm* experiencing this. I've synced a Wandboard Quad and a Squeezebox Touch. Both are connected digitally to the same receiver. When switching the inputs back and forth, the high end is CLEARLY significantly degraded from the Wandboard compared to the Touch. Even weirder: I hear the same thing with a DTS signal, which should be completely impossible. Denon receiver is set to "DIRECT" for both inputs, so in theory there's no additional processing on either input. It *has* to be something stupid that I'm doing and not seeing, but I just can't figure it out. atrocity's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16009 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111702 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer & RTL8188eus wifi dongle
Hello, I have received a USB-N10 Nano Asus wifi plug. It doesn't work on PicorePlayer 6.0 :-( I've tested several 8188 provided drivers, to no avail) Now, after some investigation, I've got it to work on my raspberry pi. What I had to do : - install Raspbian Buster version (downloaded yesterday) - compile the Asus driver (it was provided on a CDROM with the wifi plug). Compiling was fairly easy, except GCC complained about a warning which I disable by changing the Makefile : EXTRA_CFLAGS += -Wno-incompatible-pointer-types - install the driver (sudo make install) - load the driver in the kernel : sudo modprobe -v 8188eu - then spend an awful lot of time working out the wireless configuration with linux (hint : wicd-curses did the trick, provided you do : systemctl disable dhcpd ) Here are some info : Code: pi@raspberrypi:~ $ lsusb | grep ASUS Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0b05:18f0 ASUSTek Computer, Inc. pi@raspberrypi:~ $ lsmod | grep 8188 8188eu 1622016 0 cfg80211 643072 1 8188eu If somebody wants me to test PicoPlayer ยง.0 some more, I'd be happy to help ! stF wiz21's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70204 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111373 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
